Episode 11: Don’t Get Caught up on Being “Behind”
About
This is a short episode, but it’s one I was inspired to bring you… so much so that I deviated from the content plan I had in place for this episode.
Over the past twelve years as a financial advisor, I’ve spoken to hundreds of Black, Latina, and Asian women between the ages of 25 and 55, and they all seem to have the same overarching needs and concerns, even if the details might be a little different. It’s these common needs and concerns, that I want to address today.
In this episode, I share exactly what my clients say to me when discussing their financial needs and concerns, the root issues behind the sentiments that all of my clients seem to share with me, why you need to stop comparing your financial situation to what you think is the financial situation of those around you, how the lens the financial services industry uses to view a person’s financial path is broken and can lead to advice that might not work for you, why you need to stop focusing on feeling like you’re behind in your financial goals, the details for my upcoming workshop on how to not be corporate America’s prisoner, and more.
